The Chairman of the Palestinian Federation of Garment and Textile Industries (PFGT), Dr. Fouad Odeh, participated in the launch of the EU–Private Sector Partnership Platform, held in Cairo, Egypt, with the participation of representatives from private-sector institutions and economic and development organizations from several countries.

The Federation’s participation forms part of its efforts to strengthen international economic relations and expand opportunities for cooperation, partnership, and investment between the Palestinian private sector and its European counterparts.

These efforts aim to support economic development and strengthen the resilience of productive sectors, particularly the garment and textile industry.

The event featured extensive discussions on the role of the private sector in supporting economic recovery and reconstruction efforts, as well as the importance of cooperation among economic institutions, international partners, and private-sector organizations in restoring production and employment.

Participants also emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to promote sustainable development, create an enabling environment for investment and economic growth, and develop practical partnerships that respond to the needs of Palestinian productive sectors and support their recovery and continuity.
