Energy efficiency and renewable energy interventions in industrial facilities operating in the garment and fashion sector in the Gaza Strip.
Implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Palestine, in partnership with the Ministry of National Economy and funded by the Government of Japan, the project received over 50 applications for opportunities to benefit from its interventions. Ultimately, 22 companies were selected to participate in the program, which aimed to introduce alternative energy solutions in factories to reduce production costs and enhance their competitiveness.
The benefits of the proposed sustainable energy interventions were presented through a series of awareness workshops organized by UNIDO in the Gaza Strip. These workshops were attended by over 100 business owners from companies operating in the garment and fashion sector in Gaza.
