Supporting Garment and Textile Workers through the Norwegian-Funded Project

The Palestinian Federation of Garment and Textile Industries participated in the Norwegian-funded project implemented in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Palestinian Federation of Industries. The project aims to support garment and textile workers and strengthen the ability of affected enterprises to maintain and restore their productive operations.

The Federation coordinated with factories and companies, nominated workers, collected and verified their information, and linked each worker to the relevant enterprise. The collected data covered identification and contact details, socioeconomic conditions, bank accounts, and previous and current employment.

Two beneficiary batches were prepared. The first included 25 workers from 16 enterprises, while the second included 20 workers with complete records and six additional nominations pending completion. Overall, the Federation documented 45 workers with complete and non-duplicated records linked to 21 enterprises, with a total target of up to 51 workers across 24 enterprises.
